Nail Art Society- January 2013

NAS is a nail supply subscription service that I signed my daughter up for. She is too young for make up and body products but she got major box/bag envy every time one of my subs came in.

We only pay 9.95 a month since we signed up when it first started. They are going through some changes and have increased the price to 19.95. Hopefully future bags are good enough to attract new subscribers joining.

This month we got.

Nail Art Society- January 2013
Layla Magnetic Effect nail polish in Magnetic Sky.

I am glad we got this because I have been wanting to try one of the magnetic polishes for quite awhile but I never seem to pick one up. I like blue polish so the color is perfect.

Cheriomya nail art polish in Black.

I am kind of indifferent to this product. I am sure when I get into doing some detailed nail art it will come in handy. It may even be useful for using on my nail stamping plates.

Small container of crystal looking gems.

We have gotten some sort of gem embellishment each month. I have not used any of them yet but that is because I do not have anything but my eye brow tweezers to pick them up. I do not want to get polish on them...

Stella Beauty pointy tweezer thingy.

Perfect!! I am thrilled to get this. It will make picking up the tiny gems and placing them so much easier.

Well done Nail Art Society. I look forward to the up coming months.

Sample Society- January 2013

A new box of goodies!

January 2013 Sample Society
Blurry Product Card
Pantene BonusCard

Pantene Bonus!
According to the card this will thicken existing hair so it is as if you have up to 6,500 more hair strands! I already have really thick hair so it will be interesting to see what this does. I will update after use.

Nicole Richie Frangrance
I heard some pretty bad things about this fragrance. I was almost scared to get it. However, I really like it. So much so that I may get the full size.

Clack's Botanicals Moisture Mask
The container says you can use this as a mask or you can use less of it as a moisturizer. Because my face is so dry and flaky right now, I will probably do the mask and if there is anything left, use it as a moisturizer. I will update after use.

Lord & Berry Silk Kajal Eye Pencil
I did not have kohl pencil so this was awesome to get. It is in black so will definitely get used. I put it on my water line about an hour ago. It applied very easy and so far is staying put! It being full size is a plus.

Snowberry Cellular Regeneration Day and Night Cream
I have never heard of this brand so I am excited to try it. My poor dry face needs all the help it can get right now. Will update when empty!

Square Hue- January 2013

If you have not heard about it yet. Square Hue is a new monthly subscription service that is all about nail polish. Perfect for a polish hoarder! It is $21 a month with free shipping. You get 3 colors that are fresh and in style. You can learn more about it HERE.

This is my first month with them. I am still upset that I did not sign up in time for the gorgeous December polishes! However, January was not a let down. The collection was "The Arctic Collection" and I adore the colors. The formula is smooth, not to thin or thick. These are my favorite polish bottles yet and the brush worked great. I can not wait to see what they come up with as the year goes by. I plan to stick with them.

Glacier Skies-Arctic Frost-Midnight Flurries
Glacier Skies-Arctic Frost-Midnight Flurries

Perfect names for these polishes!

My nails are painted with Glacier Skies and patterned with Midnight Flurries. My first attempt at a pattern. Not perfect but I still like it.

I had planned to swatch all the colors for you but I can not bring myself to take this off. I will add a quicky picture I took the day I got my polishes.

Now you can get an idea of what the colors look like. I am already really like Square Hue. If you like polish at all, I think you will also.

February is going to be the "Vintage Love Collection" You do not want to miss it! Go to Square Hue before it is too late.

Bath and Body Works- Forever Red

I know you are just dying to see what else I am going to pimp out to you.

This post brings you a new fragrance from Bath and Body Works, Forever Red. I seriously love this scent and as soon as the bottle I have runs out I intend to buy a full size. It smells amazing. You should try to get your hands on a sample. I think most of your will like it. If not.. more for me! :-P

Venus- My favorite shaver.

I was using this system a long time before Influenster gave me a very generous sample. I like that all the blades and handles are interchangeable and it makes my legs feel completely smooth. A small miracle with my course leg hair. You should give it a try if you are using anything other than Venus to shave your legs.

Venus Embrace included in the Cosmo Voxbox 2012

Glossybox Boxes- DIY

If you happen to subscribe to Glossybox and you are hoarding the boxes. You can now make yourself a cute little set of drawers with it. You can get the instructions on how make it yourself HERE. Cute eh?

Ipsy December 2012

I have got and tried everything in my bag. I am quite please this month. Ready to see what I got and what I think about it?  Here we go!

December 2012 Ipsy
This months bag is awesome. It is a nice grey color, kind of a fat low profile bag. It will be great for packing along travel makeup and little things I want to drag everywhere. The above picture came out too dark but the bottom ones shows the true color.. Nice eh?

The zipper is silver heavy metal. Not cheap!

Inside the bag has Ipsy's name all over it in a cute pink color. Love it.

Back of card-Product list

This is a $20 promo code for Just fab. There are some nice boots and bags in the Ipsy collection. I doubt I will use this but it is nice anyway.

NYX loose pearl shadow powder. I have never used this kind of shadow before but it is really nice. I like the soft texture. This color is way out of my comfort zone so I will have to pull up my big girl pants and find a way to try it out.

Urban Decay 24-7 Liner -Zero

I have owned this liner in the past and needed a new one. It works good for a pencil. I like it when I do not want to spend extra time dragging out my gel liner and brush. It is black, always a plus for me.

Be a Bombshell Hot Mess Lip gloss. It is RED. Thankfully it is a bit sheer. Red lipstick is also out of my comfort zone but I have been wearing this a little at a time to get used to it. I also do not want to scare my husband. He is not used to me wearing much makeup. Must break him in slowly.

Mirabella Primer for face and eyes. I have not used it on my whole face but I have on my eyes. It does what it is suppose to do and it feels great going on.

Mai Couture Highlighter paper. Well these sort of bug me. I am not used to rubbing paper on my face and the color is a bit too orange for me. Other than that. I like the idea. Nice way to touch up blush on the go. Would travel nicely.

Well that is it for Ipsy this month. I and pleased and am looking forward to January!
